The data controller is Genesys-in, publisher of the ExamBoost app, led by project lead Franz Deussom. For any question about your personal data, you can reach us at the address listed at the bottom of this page.

Account data: name, phone number, email address, school or university level, profile type (student, individual, or partner teacher).

Usage data: exams viewed, scores achieved, badges unlocked, competition history, time spent on the app.

Payment data: mobile wallet number and transaction history processed via CamerPay, MTN MoMo or Orange Money. ExamBoost never stores full banking credentials.

Technical and anti-cheat data: encrypted device identifier, session logs, detection of leaving the app during a timed exam.

Content submitted by partner teachers: exams, corrections, and information needed to track their compensation.

To provide access to the exam library and offline mode.

To enable real-time competitions and their AI-based refereeing.

To process pack payments and partner teacher compensation.

To ensure assessment integrity through anti-cheat mechanisms.

To improve the platform and personalize learning recommendations.

To send you notifications related to your activity (exam validation, payment received, competition results).

Processing your data relies on your consent given at sign-up, on the performance of the contract linking you to ExamBoost for paid services, and on our legitimate interest in ensuring the security and integrity of competitions.

Your data may be shared with: mobile payment providers (CamerPay, MTN MoMo, Orange Money) to process your transactions; AI services used for competition refereeing, which only receive the data strictly necessary (questions, answers, scores); partner teachers, who can access aggregated results for the exams they submitted. Your data is never sold to third parties for commercial purposes.

Your data is kept for as long as your account remains active. Backups are performed automatically every day, with a minimum retention of 30 days. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable time, unless a longer retention is legally required.

ExamBoost applies security measures consistent with best practices: encryption of sensitive data, token-based authentication (JWT), access restricted to authorized personnel only, compliant server hosting, and regular backups.

In accordance with law n°2024/017, you have the right to access, rectify, object to, erase, and restrict the processing of your data, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below; we will respond as soon as possible.

Many ExamBoost users are secondary school students who may be minors. Account creation and purchases made by a minor user must be approved by a parent or legal guardian, in accordance with applicable regulation.

The Personal Data Protection Authority (APDP), established by law n°2024/017 of December 23, 2024, is the competent authority in Cameroon for personal data protection matters. You may file a complaint with this authority if you believe your rights are not being respected.

Your data is hosted on servers located in Africa or the European Union, chosen for their compliance with recognized protection standards.

This website only uses technical cookies strictly necessary for its operation, such as remembering your preferred language. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.

This policy may be updated to reflect legal or technical changes. The last-updated date is shown at the top of this page.
